Difficulty
The boss fights in a Raid Finder raid are simplified: their difficulty relative to normal and flexible is scaled downwards with the intent that they be manageable past randomly assembled, less organized pickup groups. Reduced boss wellness and damage compared to college level modes in the same grouping size, besides as the removal or modification of specific mechanics that normally brand the raid dependent on the performance of a single role player.
A Raid Finder run is a gentle introduction to the bosses, and can exist educational for a actor who is new to, or still learning the fight. Some of import differences in dominate tactics exist between Raid Finder and Normal fashion, and it is particularly of import to remain informed of this when or if you lot transition to Normal mode.
Each time a Raid Finder group wipes on a given boss, the [Decision] vitrify volition be applied to the players which increases their health, harm dealt, and healing received by 5%, stacking up to ten times, and dropping when the boss is killed.
Loot rules
- Master article: Personal loot
Raid Finder uses a arrangement chosen Personal Loot. When a boss is killed for the showtime fourth dimension each week, every actor has a fixed percent hazard of receiving a loot item. For each histrion, the game will decide whether the player will receive loot. If then, the game will then select a course- and spec-appropriate item from the boss's boodle table and immediately deposit the item into the player'southward inventory. The specialization is the i the thespian is using at the time of the boss'south death, and is non related to the role chosen by the player when queueing for the raid. All players who practise non receive a loot item will instead be issued a pocketbook of gold. All loot gained through this method is strictly Demark on Pickup and can not be traded with other players.
Bosses may only be looted once per calendar week, though they can exist run as often as desired.
- Main article: Bonus ringlet
Level 90 players tin can choose to utilize an [Elder Amuse of Proficient Fortune] (for Patch 5.0 bosses), [Mogu Rune of Fate] (for Patch 5.2 bosses) or [Warforged Seal] (for Patch 5.4 bosses) for an additional roll on loot afterward every attempt. This bonus roll works simply similar the get-go roll does and will not affect in whatsoever way other players' loot.
A charm may also be used, on well-nigh bosses, for an boosted roll fifty-fifty on subsequent kills during the aforementioned week. For case, a player may return to Lei Shi and impale her a second time, receiving no loot by default, just utilise a charm and get another chance. Notable exceptions include open up globe bosses and the last bosses of an instance, on which just one bonus curlicue may be used per calendar week.
Queueing
Queuing tin done by forming a complete 25-human raid and initiating a queue request. You will then immediately be teleported to the raid.
You lot tin can also form an incomplete 25-homo raid and queue, with additional members existence called by the game to fill out the 25-man roster; all players will be teleported to the raid.
It is currently possible to form a regular party including cross-realm Existent-ID friends and queue for the raid. It is not yet possible to convert a party including Real-ID friends into a raid.
Replacements
Since the Raid Finder is designed to serve players whose schedules practise not permit regular raiding, it is designed to replace driblet-outs. It is not possible to invite specific players to a Raid Finder raid once it has started (to prevent players from kicking pugged players to make room for friends).
Lock-out
There is no lock-out for Raid Finder in the traditional sense. You can queue in the Raid Finder repeatedly and defeat the same bosses over and over again. Nevertheless, you are simply entitled to a chance to receive loot from a dominate the first fourth dimension you kill that boss per weekly reset. If you kill the boss once more subsequently during the aforementioned weekly period, you are non eligible to receive any boodle other than that from a charm bonus ringlet.
If you are chosen every bit a replacement for a partially-completed raid it is possible for you to consummate that raid, then queue once again later and effort for loot for bosses that yous had not personally defeated yet. When the raid reaches bosses you accept defeated, you will not be eligible for boodle. If you have completed bosses later in the progression schedule for a raid, the organization will give you priority to join a group that will take on the bosses that you have missed.
If you leave a Raid Finder squad while they are in gainsay with a boss and that squad defeats the boss during that same battle, you will not receive loot but will still be marked as having defeated that boss, and will not be eligible for any more rewards from that boss until the weekly reset. Players who need to exit the keyboard in the middle of a fight may leave their characters in the raid to avoid beingness subject to this effect.
